Lorrie Danelle “Porp”
(Wright) Coffman
Feb 14, 1965 — Sep 12, 2026
Whitesboro, Texas
Lorrie Danelle “Porp” (Wright) Coffman, 61, of Whitesboro, TX, peacefully passed from this life on Saturday, September 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Though her passing leaves a deep emptiness in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, those who shared her life find comfort in knowing that she has gone home to be with her Lord.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Church of Christ in Marietta, OK. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta. Services are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.
Porp began this life as a Valentine’s baby on February 14, 1965, (two-fourteen-sixty-five) in Ashland, KS, the daughter of Daniel S. Wright and Velma Jean (Hall) Wright. She attended school in Velma-Alma, graduating with the Class of 1983. She continued her education at East Central University, earning her Interior Design degree in 1988. In 2013, she furthered her education by earning a Medical Coding degree from National American University. She designed her life somewhere between an artist and the medical field. And she presented herself somewhere between Bougie and barbwire—if you said something stupid or changed plans unexpectedly.
Some people come into your life and just fill a spot in your heart that you didn’t know needed filling. Lorrie, or ‘Porp’, was most definitely one of those souls that everyone needed and didn’t know it. She was quirky and mousy and just genuinely loved people. She was a very private and very stubborn soul that let you know where you fit in her life. She loved you in a way that was not showy, but you knew the love was there and if you didn’t feel it, well there ya go. She was dealt a hand with some lousy cards but played it out like a master until the end.
Porp was a member of the Church of Christ, whose faith was an important part of who she was. She loved the Lord and her church family, whether in Colorado or Oklahoma.
Porp was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Wright; grandparents, Lorraine and Chub Wright; and grandparents, Laura and Charles Hall.
Left to cherish her memory are her father, Daniel Wright and wife Deborah of Loco, OK; her brothers, Mackey Wright and wife Lisa Lumbert, Cash Wright and wife Deana, and Wade Griffin and wife Elizabeth and their three children; sisters, Christy Stewart and husband Doug, Carrie Wright, and Keena Pickett and husband Bryan and their two children; nieces and nephews, Chase Wright, Casey Wright, Tyler Bridwell, Trace Stewart; great nieces and nephews, Blake Wright, Luke Wright, Haley Hughes and husband Bryson, Jade Wright, Ciera Wright, Dylan Wright, Addie Wright, and Danny Wright several great-great nieces and nephews; and the many other family members and friends whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
Casket bearers are Luke Wright, Chase Wright, Blake Wright, Trace Stewart, Dylan Wright, Tyler Bridwell, Bryson Hughes and Casey Wright. Honorary bearers are Ranell Green, K.J. McKinney, Brian Core, Dana Escobar, Rashad Smalls and Phil Lintner.
