Lonnie Dale Mays, 78, of Ardmore, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was born on April 3, 1947, in Russett, Oklahoma, to the late Joseph Ernest Mays and Hattie Belle Arledge Mays. Lonnie grew up in Russett, Courtney, and Mannsville, Oklahoma, and graduated from Mannsville High School in 1965.  On June 11, 1965, he married Wanda Gail Peoples, and together they shared many years of love and family before her passing on February 11, 2015.  Lonnie lived most of his life in the Mannsville and Dickson areas where he worked as an electrician.  He was affiliated with the Provence Assembly of God Church, Ardmore, Oklahoma and he enjoyed wolf hunting, sharing stories at the coffee shop, and, most of all, spending time with his family and grandchildren.

1 great grandchild: Violet Gibson Lonnie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, his parents, eleven brothers, three sisters, and his great-grandson, Brexton Gibson.
