Lewis Delano "Dale" Adkins, 89, passed away on December 17, 2023, at his home in Whitesboro, Texas. He was born on November 11, 1934 in Ft. Worth, Texas to the late Roscoe William Earl Adkins and Izora Mable Lewis Adkins. Dale was raised in the St. Joseph's Orphanage in Bethany, Oklahoma. He graduated high school in Bethany and attended Oklahoma City University. Dale served in the United States Air Force, serving in Korea. He received an Honorable Discharge after serving for 4 years. Dale worked as a commercial pilot for Central Airlines. He was an areal applicator for the state and later delivered the Oklahoman newspaper by air. Dale also made a living traveling all around the United States selling his artwork. He married Jaeleen Kae Swarthout on June 3, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dale was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gordonville, Texas and he enjoyed going to air shows, going to the lake, restoring big boats and classic cars. He loved to sit at his easel and paint while listening to Luciano Pavarotti.

Brady O'Neal, Trey O'Neal, Luke O'Neal, Trinity Adkins, and Kamden Mac
Great Grandchildren: Raylan Fanning, Kaycee Fanning, Shay Smothermon, Carter Adkins, Grady Smothermon, Zane Smothermon, River Snyder, Emmie Adkins, Blakely O'Neal, Carsyn Snyder, Ryder O'Neal and Noah Dale Adkins (Due Jan. 3rd)
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother; Bill Earl Adkins, and 2 sisters; Christine Wasbotten and Patty June.
