Leora Jean Johnson 70, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at her home in Kingston. She was born on February 21, 1940 to the late William Franklin Maddox and Mabel Lorrain Truelove Maddox in Hobart Oklahoma. Jean was raised in Kiowa County in the Mountain View-Sedan Community before moving to Oklahoma City in 1953. In 1988 she moved to Kingston where she lived the rest of her life. Jean enjoyed helping in FFA events with her granddaughter, working in the yard, gardening, cooking and raising chickens. She was affiliated with the Baptist faith. Jean is survived by: Children: Robert C. Johnson, Bay City, Texas Richard D. Johnson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Wanda J. Johnson, Kingston, Oklahoma Janet K. Walker, Pocasset, Oklahoma Terry L. Short, Midwest City, Oklahoma Sister: Barbara Stone, Claremore, Oklahoma Sister in-laws: Marylin Maddox, Paden, Oklahoma Hallie Maddox, Clarmore, Oklahoma Ivy Maddox, Moore, Oklahoma Beverly Maddox, Prague, Oklahoma 7 Grandchildren 6 Great grandchildren Many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers; Billy Joe, Kenneth, Don and David, 3 sisters; Cassie Sharp, Ada Mae Kiddy and Nellie Hill, 1Great Grandchild; Kayla Hudson.
