Laura Mae Pipkin, 72, of Madill, passed away December 6, 2009 at the St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born on December 30, 1936 in Preston, Minnesota to Fred and Katherine Young. Laura was raised in Preston where she graduated from Preston High School in 1955. She married Roger Shaw on February 5, 1955. They traveled the world do to his milatary service until his retirement in 1969. They lived in Wykoff Minnesota where they owned and operated a dairy farm before moving to Madill in 1973. Laura married R. L. Mayo. He preceded her in death. She also married Howard Pipkin on December 7, 1993 in Madill and he preceded her in death on July 10, 1998. She worked for the Marshall Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse for several years before she retired. Laura was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Madill and she enjoyed working with the Blessing Bucket, reading and being with her family. She is survived by: Sons: Rocky Shaw and wife Georgia, Shawnee, Oklahoma Tommy Shaw, Dallas, Texas Daughters: Deeann Jensen and husband Jack, Allen, Oklahoma Laurie Polster and husband Rodney, Madill, Oklahoma Lisa Shaw, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Laura Lee Mayo, Madill, Oklahoma Step sons: James and William Mayo, Madill, Oklahoma 6 Grandchildren: Roxanne, Holly, Katherine, Dustin, Roddy and Randall Brother: Fred Young Jr. Preston, Minnesota Sister: Della Gronnel, Mondovi, Wisconsin Former Husband: Roger Shaw, Madill, Oklahoma She was prededed in death by her parents; 2 husbands, 2 step children.
