Larry Junior Smith, 67 of Ardmore, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at his home in Ardmore. He was born on April 1, 1945 in McMillan, Oklahoma to the late Wesley Frederick Smith and Susan Lucille Justice Smith. Larry was raised in the Denison and Sherman, Texas area. He joined the United States Army and served from April 8, 1963 to April 5, 1966. Larry received a Purple Heart from wounds received in action in Vietnam. In 1970 Larry moved to Ardmore from Denison where he lived the rest of his life. He married Sharon Goodman on March 24, 2005 in Madill. Larry worked as a Truck Driver most of his life and he was a member of the Lake Country RC Flying Club. He was affiliated with the Baptist faith and he enjoyed building and flying radio control planes and hunting and fishing. He is survived by: Wife: Sharon Smith, Ardmore, Oklahoma Children: Lisa Teel and husband Donnie, Dallas, Texas Lynette Vallejo, Burleson, Texas Larry Smith, Jr. and wife Angel, Ardmore, Oklahoma Step children: Christine Hamilton and husband Randy, Ardmore, Oklahoma Kenneth Goodman and wife Anna, Lexington, Oklahoma Steven Goodman, Ardmore, Oklahoma 5 Grandchildren: 7 Step Grandchildren Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Stepdad; Wayne Elmer Robinson, one brother; Charles Wesley Smith and grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. William P. Justice and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith. Casket Bearers: Marty Jones, Kenneth Goodman, Jeremy Snavely, Justin Teel, Joe Hornbeck, Frank Jennings.
