Kolleen Faith Flatt, 65-year-old Marietta, OK resident, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024, in the Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, OK. A celebration of Kolleen's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2024, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta with Rev. Ronnie Carroll officiating. Services have been entrusted to the Flanagan-Watt Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Marietta.
Kolleen began this life March 3, 1959, in Pittsburg, TX the daughter of Wilburn and Nova (White) Chapman. She will be remembered as a very gracious family matriarch who loved getting family and friends together to share a meal or to sample her famous hot rolls, cookies, and candy. The holiday season was a very special time for Kolleen because she knew her children and grandchildren would all be around.
Over the years Kolleen developed an extensive collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia. She also spent countless hours crocheting. One thing was for sure, no matter what she was doing, you would most likely hear some George Jones music playing in the background.
Kolleen was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Roberta Evans, Frances Flatt, Eileen Chapman, and Darliene Weisbeck; and a brother, Michael Chapman. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Joseph Chapman of Ada, OK and Dustin Flatt of Burneyville, OK; daughters, Misty Ainsworth and husband Daniel of Ardmore and Stacey Flatt of Marietta; grandchildren, Haley Hambrick of Oklahoma City, OK, Steven Newsome of Texas, Layney Huckeby of North Port, FL, Nyne Chapman of College Station, TX, Hannah Reed and husband Sethan of Ada, OK, Jaxson Knock and Lennox Knock of Iowa, KS, and Aiden Farris of Liberty, KS; great-grandchildren, Addison Davis, Rylie Huckeby, and Henley Newsome; brother, James Chapman of Byhalia, MS; sisters Diane Gilbert of Marietta and Karen Borchardt and husband John of Ardmore.
Honorary bearers are Carroll Flatt, Sethan Reed, Ronald Rhoades, Frank Rhoades, and Jesse Rhoades.
