Obituary

Kimberly Diane Cavitt, age 53, was born in Muenster, TX on October 19, 1971, to James William and Sue LaJune (Kittrell) Cavitt. She died on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Ardmore, OK after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Kimberly was raised in Marietta and graduated from Marietta High School in 1989. She enjoyed life and loved to listen to music, sing, make crafts, go camping, and spend time with her family. She had a drive to own her own business and was former owner of Trinity Paintball in Marietta. She also loved to cook and was great at it, eventually opening her own restaurant called "Kimberly's", where she was known for her "Veggies Gone Wild". Kimberly also loved to praise God and truly enjoyed worshiping Him at the Ambassadors of Christ Church of Texoma in Gainesville, TX. She was a life coach to everyone she met, and even considered herself a moti-comedian (motivational comedian).

Kimberly is preceded in death by her parents, James William and Sue LaJune Cavitt; daughter, Danielle Woods; infant son, Dustin James Harold Woods; sister, Barbie Cavitt; brother-in-law, Walter Lytle; and a niece, Tabatha Churchill.

Left to cherish Kimberly's memory are her children, Michael Woods and wife Julie of Gainesville, Christopher Cavitt of OK, Xander Cavitt of Springer, OK, Leatha Gordon and husband Brandon Hicks of Springer, and Kristen Gordon of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Kayden, Gabriel, Isaac, Lincoln, Nicole, Archer, Waverly, Jeremiah, Lucas, and Adalyn; fur baby, Jersey; brothers, James Cavitt and wife Linda of Moore, OK and Daniel Cavitt of Choctaw, OK; sisters, Jody Harris and husband J.D. of Burneyville, OK and Sherrie Lytle of Marietta; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 23, at the Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta with Pastor Bryan Smith officiating. At Kimberly's request, she wants everyone to wear bright colors to the service. Interment will follow at the Burneyville Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 22, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta.

Serving as casket bearers will be Michael Woods, Brandon Hicks, James Edward Cavitt, Christopher Cavitt, John Duke, and James William Cavitt. Honorary casket bearers will be J.D. and Jody Harris and Daniel Cavitt.
