Kathleen Clifton was born in Coal Hill, AR on September 28, 1925, the daughter of Joseph A. and Allie Fish Huddleston. She passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 in Mercy Hospital Ardmore at the age of 88. A homemaker, Mrs. Clifton had been a resident of Love County since 1948. She and George R. Clifton were married in Gainesville, TX on September 4, 1948, and he preceded her in death on October 5, 2008. Kathleen was a devoted wife and mother whose joy came in serving others. She was a longtime member of the Marietta Church of Christ. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Josephine Hurt. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and JoEllen Clifton of Iredale, TX, Paul and Robin Clifton of Kaysville, UT and Jeff and Susan Clifton of Fairbanks, AK; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathie Clifton of Ardmore, OK, Mary Kay and John Thompson of Marietta and Joan and Bruce Coldiron of Sweetwater, TX; sister, Mary Wiley of Edmond, OK; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Grandsons and granddaughters will serve as bearers.
