Kathern Denise Barnett, 64, of Madill, Oklahoma, passed away at her home on August 2, 2025. She was born on April 18, 1961, in Odessa, Texas, to the late Noel Wilson Barnett and Connie Sue McClure Barnett.

Kathern was a proud graduate of Monahans High School in Monahans, Texas, and later earned her CDL certificate, which led to a lifelong career in professional driving. She broke barriers as the first female driver for Coleman Dairy in Little Rock, Arkansas, and found joy in driving school buses in Giddings, Texas, and Kingston, Oklahoma.

Throughout her life, Kathern made her home in Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. She was affiliated with New Hope Church of God in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She cherished her role as a sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always placing her family at the center of her heart.

Brother:                       David W. Barnett of College Station, Texas

Sister:                          Susan B. Williams and Jim Makepeace of Madill, Oklahoma

Grandchildren:            Nathan White, Matthew White, Jacob Devin, Ryan Devin, River Young, and

Luna Young

Great-grandchildren: Ember White, Valley White, Alaia White, and Maia White.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Tracy D. Barnett; her brother, Bubba Barnett; as well as her grandparents and uncles: Morgan and Daniel.

Honorary Casket bearers:       Jim, Nathan, Matthew, Ryan, Jacob, Donnie, and David Barnett.
