Julie Maureen Mangrum, 65, of Powell, Oklahoma passed away on November 28, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on August 24, 1957, in Madill to Leon Franklin Lee and Frankie Pearl Self Lee. Julie was raised in Powell, and she attended Madill schools and graduated from Madill High School in 1975. She married Mark Jeffrey Mangrum on January 2, 2003, in Sherman, Texas. Julie worked at the Alliance Hospital in Durant, Oklahoma as a PBX Operator. She was the first female fire chief in Marshall County at the Willis/Powell volunteer fire department, worked as dispatcher at the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, first responder for Marshall County EMS, best hamburger cook in Southern Oklahoma at Crossroads store and drove dump trucks for her dad. Julie was a 4-H Leader and member of the Powell Holiness Church. She enjoyed her chickens, dogs, gardening and home canning with her mom and dad but most of all she loved spending time with her grand babies and family.

Julie was preceded in death by her mother, sister; Frankie Lou Lee, nephew; Jordy Allen, father and mother-in-law; B.J. and Emma Cate Mangrum

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a family hour from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Funeral service will be Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma. Jerald Lee will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Powell Cemetery, Powell, Oklahoma. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
