Obituary

Judy McKinney 80, of Buncombe Creek, Kingston, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. She was born on September 13, 1945, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to the late Calvin Bernard (Red) Conner and Julia Louise Johnson Conner. Judy was raised in Seminole, Oklahoma and graduated from Seminole High School with the Class of 1963. On October 23, 1964, she married David Earl McKinney, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The two shared many wonderful years together filled with family, laughter, and devotion. Judy worked for Rocket/Turnpike Transit for 30 plus years in Oklahoma City. She later worked for the Chickasaw Nation Gaming as an Operations Manager in Madill and retired after 12 years, she was well respected for her hard work, dedication, and compassion for others. Judy enjoyed square dancing and bowling and was a member of a bowling league Penn 44 in Oklahoma City. She loved garage sales, cleaning, crafting, sewing and always redecorating. After moving Buncombe Creek, she became a member of the Buncombe Creek Community Center and enjoyed weekly card games with the ladies. Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and took great pride in their accomplishments.

She is survived by:

Daughters:        April Theriot and partner Andrew Waits of Buncombe Creek, Kingston, Oklahoma
Dava Darouiche of Rhome, Texas

Brother:        Gail Connor and wife Lousann of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

12 Grandchildren:    Echo Robinson, Anthony Brewer, Chad Brewer, Taylor Theriot, J.R. Meek,
Kasey Doty, Austin Allbrittan, Shareif Darweesh, Ashraf Darweesh, Shaddy Darweesh, Eric Rivera, and Ana Rivera

19 Great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Wayne and wife Beverly Connor, Charles and wife Linda Connor, daughter Marquita Lynn McKinney and grandchildren P.J. Eggenburg, Brandy Rivera, Layla Darweesh
