John Clemence "Johnny" Gilliam, 72, of Little City, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, April 22, 2007 at his residence in Little City. Johnny was born March 6, 1935, in Ravia, Oklahoma to John B.F. and Cathern (Pittman) Gilliam. John grew up in the Ravia area, and graduated from Ravia High School and later from Murray State College. After graduation he moved to Texas, living in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Waco areas, working primarily for Reynolds Aluminum. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his return he married Patsy E. Coffman on May 19, 1961. They eventually moved back to Oklahoma, finally settling in Little City, Oklahoma where they resided for 35 years. Johnny retired from Uniroyal Tire Company in Ardmore. He was of the Baptist faith. Johnny enjoyed gardening, golf, cooking, playing with grandkids and setting off fire works. He is survived by: Wife: Patsy of Little City, Oklahoma Daughters: Connie Rumburger of Garland, Texas Tammy Cook and husband Steve of Ardmore Kelly Trammell and husband Travis of Madill Elaine Chambliss and husband Chris of Monterey, California Son: John Gilliam, Jr. and wife Kim of Cumberland, Oklahoma Sisters: Gwendola Leal of Elk City Leola Hennington of Ravia Virginia Bauer and husband David of Las Vegas, Navada Aunt and Uncle: Lilburn and Lucille Payne, of Ravia 16 Grandchildren 7 Great Grandchildren Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and lots of dear friends.
