Joe Ann Smith, 88, of Euless, Texas passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Silverado Southlake Memory Care Center in Southlake, Texas.  She was born on January 7, 1935, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to the late Joe L. Thompson and Ester M. Johnson Thompson.  Joe Ann was raised in Madill and graduated from Madill High School in 1952. She also attended Murray State College and later at Oklahoma A&M where she received her bachelor's degree in Home Economics.  Joe Ann married William Harold Smith on March 26, 1954, in Madill and they were married for 69 years.  She lived in Indiana for twenty years working as a food supervisor and then she was a stay at home mom before moving to Overton, Texas.  She has lived in Irving, Texas for the past 30 years.   Joe Ann was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and she enjoyed cooking, sewing, bird and flower watching, going to the casino, antiquing, and loved traveling.

Joe Ann was preceded in death by her parents, several aunts, uncles, and several cousins.
