JoAnn Ewing Cain, 92, of Madill, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Calera Manor Nursing Center in Calera, Oklahoma.  She was born on October 6, 1932, in Madill to the late Jim Oscar Ewing and Gladys Mae Jones Ewing. JoAnn grew up in Madill, where she graduated high school, and later attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. It was there, at a sorority dance, that she met the love of her life, Jason Harold Cain, Jr. They were married and shared many wonderful years together until his passing on April 24, 2018.  JoAnn worked at the Ewing Department Store for several years and devoted herself to raising and caring for her family.  She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Madill, where her faith was an important part of her life.

She is survived by her son, Jason Cain of Madill, Oklahoma.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Oscar and Gladys Mae Ewing; her husband, Colonel Jason Harold Cain, Jr.; and her daughter-in-law, Dee Cain.
