Jo Ann Collins, 83, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the Calera Nursing Center in Calera, Oklahoma.  She was born on September 10, 1941, in Lebanon, Oklahoma to the late Joe Chaney and Elva Mae Muncrief Chaney.  Jo Ann was raised in Lebanon, Oklahoma where she attended school until 8 grade and graduated from Madill High School in 1959.  Jo Ann married Melvin Lee Collins on August 19, 1961, in Bromide, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on May 22, 1999.  She worked as a seamstress for the Madill Pants Factory for 15 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom.  Jo Ann was affiliated with the First Baptists Church in Madill, and she enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening and visiting with family and friends. She would do anything for anyone.
