Jerry Dewayne Powell 70, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at his home in Duncan. He was born on January 20, 1952, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to the late Walter Thomas Powell and Cora Lee Harris Powell.  Jerry was raised in Lawton where he attended school and later lived in Houston, Texas before moving to Duncan in 1987.  He married the love of his life Tawana Sue Downey on December 5, 1988 in Wichita Falls, Texas after dating 10 days.  In 1988 they moved to Sante Fe, Texas and in 1996 they moved to Duncan where he lived the rest of his life.  Jerry was a member of the Marlow Gun Fighters and was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church.  He loved fishing, hunting, singing karaoke and loved the Lord.

Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Dale Powell and Danny Powell.
