Jerry Lee Frode Nickle, 79, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Durant, Oklahoma. Jerry was born on October 28, 1946, in Copenhagen, Denmark, to the late Donald Spencer Nickle and Inge Kaia Lykke Kristensen Nickle. He arrived in New York in 1947 aboard the S.S. General Sturgis and is commemorated on the Ellis Island Wall of Honor. Raised in a military family, he spent his childhood living in various states and countries, gaining a wide view of the world from an early age. He settled in Richardson, Texas with his family and children, and in 2007, he moved to Kingston, Oklahoma.
He married Leatrice Longnion in June of 1982 in Richardson, Texas and she preceded him in death on February 24, 2026. Jerry retired after more than 30 years of service with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, riding motorcycles and had a love for computers and technology.
He was preceded in death by his wife and his sister, Bende Pinnell.

Donald Nickle and wife Marisa of Fort Walton, Florida
Kristina Clawson and husband Chad of Phoenix, AZ
Diana Beaumont and Fiancé Roy Jordan of Waxahachie, Texas
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Michael Rose, Madison Bell, Kaia Beaumont, Casen Beaumont, Isaiah Brillon, Yasmine Nickle, and Trinity Nickle,
He is survived by his brother, Spencer Nickle of Denison, Texas, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and family who will cherish his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Spinal Cord Injury Research
