Jerry Lynn
Hill
April 20, 1942 – March 25, 2024
Jerry Lynn Hill was born on April 20, 1942, in Oklahoma City, OK to Charles Joe and Mabel (Goff) Sykora. She passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, at the age of 81.
Jerry Lynn lived most of her life in Love County and graduated from Greenville High School. She was known to laugh and smile all the time, and it was said that they knew what class Jerry Lynn was in at Greenville, because you knew her laugh from the hallway. She knew how to make everyone feel special, and everyone loved her.
Jerry Lynn married Billy Clifford Hill in Ardmore, OK on October 12, 1957. They had a love for each other and were proud of their children and loved spending time with all their family, especially their grandchildren and great -grandchildren. They were inseparable until Jerry Lynn lost Bill on September 20, 2018.
Jerry Lynn was a great cook and had several travels and entrepreneur adventures through the years she cherished. She owned and operated a gas station/grocery store and one of the first daycares in Marietta. She also owned and operated a Hamburger Stand, a Fudge Shop, and a t-shirt shop, The Bulletin Board. Jerry Lynn also had a 15-year career in telecommunications and retired from Sprint in 2006 to move to Washington State. Jerry Lynn and Bill relocated back to Oklahoma in 2011 after many fun travels throughout the west coast. She loved playing dominoes, watching her streaming shows, reading her special novel series, and watching sports, especially football, and was fond of several of the quarterbacks in the NFL. She loved watching Aaron Rogers, Jarod Goff, Ben Roethlisberger, and Tom Brady, but her favorite of all was Patrick Mahomes.
Jerry Lynn was a collector. She loved collecting dishes, cookbooks, and cake plates, and would often send them home with someone with a special treat on them. Again, she knew how to make everyone feel special. It was a natural gift that she possessed.
Jerry Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Peggy Sykora.
Those left to carry on Jerry Lynn's legacy are her sons, Mike Hill and wife Kristy of Overbrook, OK, and Bobby Joe Hill of Marietta; daughters, Cyndia Olive and husband Bobby of Lone Grove, OK, Teena Birdsall and husband Scott of Owasso, OK, and Billie Brush and husband Dan of Woodinville, WA; grandchildren, Crystal McCain and husband Sam of Springfield, MO, Michael Hill and wife Jessica of Moore, OK, Whitney Elmore and husband Wesley of Thackerville, OK, Kelsey Birdsall and wife Rebecca of Marlton, NJ, Veronica Goodner and husband Chase of Thackerville, Skylar Birdsall of Owasso, Piper Brush and Harper Brush, both of Woodinville; great grandchildren, Yasemin, Audrey, Emma, Adam, Ethem, Maudey, Vivian, Ethan, Callahan, Ellie, Caiden, Alexander and Casten; brother, Ernie Sykora and wife Dorothy of Broken Arrow, OK; sister Betty Sue Tow and husband Jack of Marietta; and some very dear lifelong friends.
