Jerry Wayne Clifton, 70, of Marietta, OK passed away on September 11, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family. His journey in life began on May 26, 1952 in Yuma, AZ, the son of Paul Richmond and Wilma Kay (Newsom) Clifton.

Jerry joined the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged February 4, 1976. For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal and the Air Force Medal 900-3.

Those left to carry on his memory are his wife of 49 years, Sylvia Clifton of the home; daughter, Carissa Dawn Henderson of Ardmore, OK; brother, Larry Clifton of Grove, OK; brothers-in-law, Darrell Reed and wife Valerie of Leon, OK and P.A. Hartman of Leon, OK; grandchildren, Hailey Henderson, Raven Henderson, Zaden Henderson, and Malia Henderson; and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dustin Shawn Clifton; a granddaughter, Leilani Amaya Henderson; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred and Velma Reed.

Cremation has been entrusted to Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Marietta.
