Jeanette
Burnett
April 3, 1929 – April 8, 2025
Jeanette began this life on April 3, 1929, in New Hope, OK the daughter of Marion and Minnie (Davidson) Goldsmith. She attended school at Meadowbrook where she graduated with the Class of 1947. On August 7, 1948, she married Clifford Burnett at a ceremony in Gainesville, TX. Clifford passed away in November of 1998. The two spent more than 50 years together.
Jeanette furthered her education at Panhandle State College where she graduated in 1969 with her bachelor's degree in teaching. She taught elementary education for 6 years in Tyrone, OK, for 2 years in Graham, OK, and for 12 years in Wilson, OK.
Jeanette was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marietta for several years and was currently a member at the First Baptist Church in Kingston, however as her health failed, she attended Lake Church of Texoma on-line. She loved her church family and spent countless hours studying her Bible. Jeanette was an avid reader who also loved playing games such as dominoes and Scrabble with her children and grandchildren. One might also find Jeanette relaxing with a crossword puzzle or working on her latest quilting project. She enjoyed doing many things in life, but nothing so much as spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband.
Those left to cherish Jeanette's memory are sons, Paul Burnett and wife Jan of Las Vegas, NV and Dean Burnett and wife Kathy of Kingston; daughter, Sue Beach and husband Ron of Marietta; grandchildren, Chris Beach, Brandi Hartman, Wesley Burnett, Gary Burnett, Robbie Burnett, and James Burnett; great-grandchildren, Tyler Beach, Lexy Beach, Justice Hartman, Lyndon Burnett, Jaci Hartman, Camden Burnett, Brayden Norman, Brody Norman, and Brooks Burnett; great-great-grandchildren, Camden Beach and Axel Beach; brother, Dean Goldsmith of Kingston; and sister, Shirley Goldsmith of Phoenix, AZ.
Casket bearers are her great-grandchildren.
