Jean "Jeanie" Ellen Elliott, 69 of Austin, Texas passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023, at the Brookdale Gaines Ranch Assisted Living Facility in Austin. She was born on July 13, 1954, to Herbert Eugene Mayo and Lutheria Nell Mayo in Purcell, Oklahoma and moved to Madill, Oklahoma shortly after. Jeanie was baptized at the age of 12 and graduated from Madill High School in 1972. She studied at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and obtained a Masters Degree in Education from East Texas State University (now known as Texas A&M Commerce). Jeanie moved to Plano, Texas in the late 1970s and taught typing at Vines High School. She obtained her Texas Real Estate Brokers License in 1980 and began selling residential real estate in the DFW area. Jeanie opened her own real estate company, Jeanie Elliott Realtors, in 1987 and sold real estate for nearly 40 years. Before her recent move to Austin, she lived in Frisco, Texas since 1997. Jeanie was a member of various real estate industry associations, such as the Greater Dallas Association of Realtors. Jeanie was dedicated to selling real estate and loved her career. She enjoyed helping families find new homes in good communities. Jeanie was a devout Christian and found comfort and guidance in prayer. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and reading the Bible. Jeanie was a loving grandmother of 3 grandchildren - she enjoyed talking with them about their schoolwork and learning about their interests in the school band, scouting, art and dancing.

Daughter: Kimberly De La Garza and husband Adrian, Austin, Texas
Grandchildren: Aaron De La Garza, Zoey De La Garza and Gabby De La Garza
Father: Herbert Eugene Mayo, Madill, Oklahoma
Brother in-law: Bobby Royce King, Madill, Oklahoma
Niece: Cherish Ralls, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Jeanie was preceded in death by her mother; Lutheria Nell Mayo and sister; Linda Nell King.
