Jay Darrell "J.D." Testerman, of Marietta, OK, was born to Jack D. Testerman and Lulu Mae (Donaghe) Gates on March 27, 1963, in Tulsa, OK. He passed away at his residence on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the age of 60.

J.D. was raised in Tulsa, and later moved to Springfield, MO. He eventually made his way to Lafayette, LA, where he graduated from Acadiana High School, and in 1995 moved to Marietta.

J.D. was a longtime paralegal for Bebe Bridges in Ardmore, OK, a job that he absolutely loved. He also enjoyed going to concerts, cooking, going on cruises, playing with his cats, but more than anything, spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lulu Mae Gates, and a sister, Sherri Coble.

Left to cherish J.D.'s memory are his children, Alec Testerman and wife Rachel of Marietta, and April Elise Testerman of Lafayette; grandchildren, Ashbye, Jameson and Annie Lou Testerman, and Ava and Arya Alexander; his father, Jack Testerman and wife Rosemary of Marietta; stepfather Skip Gates of Marietta; and a brother, Ken Testerman of Marietta.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 26, at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta.
