Obituary

Jason Dean Teafatiller, 50, of Durant, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at his home in Durant. He was born on November 22, 1972, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Limuel Lee Teafatiller and Shirley Ann Dean Teafatiller Newman. Jason was raised in Madill where he graduated from Madill High School in 1991 as Salutatorian of his class.  After high school he attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. He worked for Tyson Foods as a chemist for several years. Jason married Emaline Ruann Cly on January 2, 2016, in Madill. In 2002 he began his trucking career with USA Truck Line until 2016 when he became owner/operator and started Teafatiller Trucking, LLC. Jason was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the Dallas Cowboys and OU Sooners but most of all he loved being a grandpa. Jason was also a very patriotic young man.

Children: Erica Peyton Teafatiller, Madill, Oklahoma

Grandson: Jerimiah Kayd Sanders, Madill, Oklahoma

Stepchildren: Trey Ybarra, Durant, Oklahoma, Joseff Ybarra, Corpus Christi, Texas

Mother: Shirley Newman and husband Wayne, Madill, Oklahoma

Sister: Jenny Flowers and husband Michael, Burneyville, Oklahoma

Nieces: Sierra Willis and husband Braidon, Burneyville, Oklahoma, Shyanne Parker, Burneyville, Oklahoma

Great Nephew: Bronx McClain Willis, Burneyville, Oklahoma

Mother-in-law: Patricia Cly, Durant, Oklahoma

Jason was preceded in death by his father Limuel Teafatiller. grandparents and father-in-law Ned Cly.

Casket Bearers: Trey Ybarra, Michael Flowers, Brock Thurman, Eric Dean, Shannon Poppe, Cody Gordon

Honorary Bearers: Class of 1991 and Joseff Ybarra
