Mullins
Apr 25, 1945 — Jun 13, 2026
Marietta, Oklahoma
Janice Lynn Mullins, of Thackerville, OK, was born on April 25, 1945, in Gainesville, TX, to Lester “Doc” and Patsy “Mattie” Lovena (Shipley) Speer. She passed away on Saturday evening, June 13, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, OK, at the age of 81.
Janice met the love of her life, Weldon “Wayne” Mullins, while working in a cotton field. Their friendship blossomed into a lifelong love, and they were united in marriage on December 16, 1961, in Gainesville. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and simple joys.
She attended schools in Thackerville and Gainesville and found happiness in tending to her flowers, watching the birds, and listening to the laughter of those around her. Above all, Janice treasured time spent with her husband, her beloved dog, Bear, and her family. Her greatest joy came from being with her children and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Lester “Doc” and Patsy “Mattie” Spear; sister, Patsy Mode and husband Don, and brother-in-law Alvin Suggs.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of more than 64 years, Wayne Mullins of the home; daughters, Chantel Voyles and husband Dwayne of Thackerville, and Tammy Foreman and husband Billy of Marietta, OK; her beloved dog, Bear; grandchildren, Luke Foreman of Marietta, Jeffrey Voyles and wife Trilby of Marietta, and Justin Voyles and wife Danielle of Thackerville; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Hadley Voyles of Marietta, and Jackson and Jayson Voyles of Thackerville; sister, Nita Suggs of Fort Worth, TX; brother, Lesley Speer of Marietta; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.
