Janet Jo (Lorne) Rambo affectionately known as "Baby" or "Aunt Baby" was born June 5, 1932 to Austin Penny and Gracie (Gaines) Lorne in Burneyville, OK. She departed this life Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the T. Boone Pickens Hospice and Palliative Care Center in the Annadale and Holm Ross Suite in Dallas, TX.

Janet attended and graduated as the class Valedictorian at Douglass High School in Marietta, OK with the class of 1952. She loved to play basketball and was the guard wearing #4 for her high school team. She attended the Business School at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK.

Janet was a longtime faithful and dedicated member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Marietta. She served her church well as a Sunday School Teacher, Finance Clerk, Deaconess, and Kitchen Committee member, until her health would no longer allow her to.

Janet was a wonderful homemaker and cook. She always had a full course meal prepared on Sundays and welcomed others to enjoy. She is well-known for her homemade pies, cakes, and canned beets. She also enjoyed riding her stationary bike and treadmill.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dennis Rambo; grandson, Jeremy Rambo; son-in-law, Rev. Paul Lawson; brother, Mack Williams; and sisters, Rosa Mae Nelson and Lonzetta Henderson.
