James A. Thompson began his journey into this world in Topeka, KS on April 27, 1952, the son of Donn and Marjorie Thompson. He passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Mercy Health Love County of Marietta, at the age of 69.

James grew up in Belen, NM and after graduating high school, he continued his education obtaining a bachelor's degree in broadcasting. As a young child/man, he was a member of the DeMolay's. On May 19, 1999, he married the love of his life, Joan Marie Hilton in Las Vegas, NV. James worked for the BNSF (Burlington Northern Santa Fe) railroad for 14 years and then he worked for Santa Anna Casino and Isleta Casino in New Mexico. On November 8, 2008 he moved to Marietta and went to work as the Transportation Department Manager for WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, OK.

James is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Joan Thompson of the home; daughter, Sasha Thompson of the home; mother, Marjorie Thompson of Scottsdale, AZ; and brothers, Tim Thompson and wife Barbara of Santa Fe, NM, and Johnn Thompson and wife Susan of Tyler, TX.

James was preceded in death by his father, Donn Thompson.
