James David Green, 83, of Ardmore, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at his home in Ardmore.  He was born on December 27, 1940, in Greasy Bend, Oklahoma to the late William Byron Green and Emma Margurette Barnes Green.  James was raised in Mannsville, Oklahoma and graduated from Dickson High School.  James married Judith Nell Tibbs on June 25, 1960, in Dickson and she preceded him in death on June 7, 2021.  He started working for Phillips Petroleum in Fox, Oklahoma on March 13, 1967, and retired on September 13, 1996.  James was a great storyteller and could recall the smallest details from his younger days.  He enjoyed making his daily rounds to the coffee shops in his starched Levi jeans and his black wing tip shoes.  James loved traveling to Branson, Beavers Bend and to Colorado in his motor home with his wife and jeep in tow.
