Jack Thomas Brannan of Marietta, known to most people as Tom, Passed away on January 21st, 2025.

Tom was born On September 6, 1954 in Ardmore Oklahoma, the son of Jack Cloyce Brannan and Margaret Elizabeth Thomas Brannan.

Tom was born and raised on a ranch in Love County Oklahoma. While attending Marietta High School, Tom discovered music. This would become one of the most influential passions of his life. While in school, he learned to play trombone and piano. During this time, he played with various band ensembles throughout the area and fell in love with music from the Big Band era. This love of Big Bands would become an all-consuming passion which would lead him to his chosen career as a Disc Jockey. Tom started his radio career in 1974 at KTEN-FM. In November of 1974 he moved to KADA-am in Ada, Oklahoma while attending East Central University. During his time a KADA, Tom met and interviewed many of the legendary musicians of the Big Band Era. Some of his favorite interviews were Harry Mills of the Mills Brothers, Less Brown, Stan Kenton, Kay Starr, Steve Allen, Helen O'Connell, Ginger Rogers and Frankie Laine. After graduating from East Central University, he returned to Marietta, Oklahoma to help his parents with the ranch. He then resumed his radio career in the Ardmore, Oklahoma market until 2007. Tom, until recent, had aired the weekly running show, "Brannan's Big Bands", which could be heard on KCNP Chickasaw radio. Tom loved visiting family in California where he always loved the ocean, attending jazz festivals, singing in the Joyful Noise choir at his church and working as an MC at jazz events. Tom was a man who loved life, always had good things to say, and a big smile.
