Geraldine Jenice McAdoo, 85, of Mead, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. She was born on December 24, 1940, in Willis, Oklahoma, to the late Walter Abner Cates and Fannie Emaline Looney Cates. Geraldine was raised in the Willis, Russett, and Fobb area and attended Willis and Russett schools.  Geraldine was known for her strong work ethic and caring nature. Over the years she worked at Uniroyal Tire Company in Ardmore, Oklahoma, owned and operated a restaurant, and later retired from Texas Instruments after 25 years of service.  Geraldine found great joy in the simple things in life. She loved gardening, planting flowers, mowing her yard, and spending time outdoors. She had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Charlie, and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Brother:                     Larry Cates and wife Lona of Henderson, Texas.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and one brother.
