Maxine Terrill, of Marietta, OK, was born on December 6, 1941, in Purdy, MO to Ernest and Gwendolyn (Wornington) Shepherd. She passed from this life on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Blue River Healthcare in Tishomingo, OK at 81 years of age.

Maxine married the love of her life, Herschel Allen "Jack" Terrill on August 13, 1970. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1979.

She worked at the Marietta Cookie Factory for many years, and primarily worked around the oven of sugar wafers. Maxine was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta.

Later in life, she became a breast cancer survivor, which brought out a passion to help the American Cancer Society through Relay for Life. Maxine devoted everything she did to raising awareness and funds for the Relay for Life throughout the years. She would save aluminum cans from any function she attended and bake and sell banana nut bread loaves, all as her contribution to help.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Michele Quinton and husband Jerry of Blue Ridge, TX; granddaughters, Michaela Diggs, and fiancé Clayton Collins of Oklahoma City, OK and Mykinzy Sweat and husband Dahlten of Luther, OK; and a sister, Dorothy Grayham of Artesia, NM.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brett Alberda officiating. A time of visitation will be held before the service from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Marietta.

Casket bearers will be Jerry Quinton, Clayton Collins, Dahlten Sweat and Matthew Diggs. Honorary casket bearers will be Tye Norris, Ronnie Norris, Vivian Quinton, Victor Quinton and Violet Quinton.
