Freida Carol Taylor, longtime Marietta resident, was born on May 27, 1950, in Guymon, OK to James Fredrick and Maxine Ruth (Wiggins) Bellomy. She passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Marietta at the age of 74.

Freida had lived in Marietta since 1971, where she married Richard Hill Taylor on June 12, 1971. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2009.

Freida attended the Oklahoma School for the Deaf in Sulphur, OK and was the valedictorian of her class. She cherished life and the opportunities presented to her. She loved arts and crafts, especially painting or the family tradition of making ceramics. She enjoyed watching TV and picking up new things on home improvement and cooking shows. She really enjoyed making wedding and birthday cakes for family and friends. Freida also worked at the Marietta Pants Factory and cleaned several local businesses. She enjoyed her time with her church family at the Marietta Church of Christ.

Freida was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Roger Wayne Bellomy; and several beloved family members.

Those left to carry on Freida's legacy include her daughter, Shawna McGehee and husband Gregg of Marietta; son Kevin Taylor and wife Christine of Wynnewood, OK; grandchildren, Jericho Taylor and Keelan Taylor, both of Wynnewood, Garrett McGehee, Briggom McGehee, and Claire McGehee, all of Marietta, and Caleb McGehee and wife Matison of Choctaw, OK; sister, Barbara "Susie"  Williams and husband Dariel of Duncan, OK; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Scheihing, Linda Martin and husband Joe Pete, and Judy Cooper, all of Marietta; nephew, Keith Williams and wife Trisha of Comanche, OK; niece, Misty Blanton and husband Drew of Marlow, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and many, many special friends.

Funeral services for Freida will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Marietta Church of Christ with Bro. Tony Lalli officiating. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta. A time of visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Marietta.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jericho Taylor, Keelan Taylor, Garrett McGehee, Briggom McGehee, Caleb McGehee and Randy Martin.
