Obituary

Frances Ann Webb, 86, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away on June 22, 2024. She was born on June 3, 1938, in Buffalo Springs, Clay County, Texas, to the late Valdon Thomas Slaughter and Frances Oleta Pressley Slaughter.  Frances grew up in Buffalo Springs and graduated as valedictorian from Midway High School. She furthered her education at Draughon's  Business School.

Frances moved to Henrietta, Texas, where she met and married Phillip Everett Webb on August 24, 1957. Phillip preceded her in death on February 1, 2023. Over the years, Frances lived in Wichita Falls, Nacona, Texas and Cleveland, Oklahoma, before settling in Kingston, Oklahoma. She was a devoted member of the Kingston Church of Christ, actively participating in church activities. Frances had a passion for sewing and was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers baseball team.

Frances is survived by her sons: Chris Webb and wife Connie of Kingston, Oklahoma, and Gary Webb and wife Kendra of Kingston, Oklahoma. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Cali Grimmett and husband Chris, Cade Webb and wife Mindy, Lauren Webb, Jacob Wiss, Jonah Wiss, Kinley Harrison and husband Kyle, Maycee Webb, and Grayson Webb, as well as four great-grandchildren: Hudson Webb, Hayven Webb, Cenyan Grimmett, and Caroline Harrison. She is survived by her brother Billy Slaughter of Henrietta, Texas, and sister Ellen Rice and husband Spencer of Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Webb, and siblings Linda Lavey, Leon Slaughter and Shirley Horn.

Frances will be remembered for her love for Christ, and her devotion to her grandkids and great grandkids.  The magical cross stitching leaving out not a single detail or stitch.  Her hands were a work of art.
