Obituary

Lona Floyce Buck, 89, of Marshall County passed away peacefully at home.

Floyce was born on Sunday, April 14th, 1935, in Mount Pleasant, Texas to the late, Roy Aldine & Ozella Harper Willmon.  She had a humble upbring on a dairy farm, working from an early age.

Billy Benson & Floyce were married on June 12, 1954, at the Blodgett Church of Christ.  Billy worked in the oil refinery industry -starting their family in Odessa, Texas area before moving to Madill with their two children in 1968.  Floyce was a homemaker taking part time jobs in Madill as a 1970 US census taker and working at Wards and Trammels & Sharps.  She started full-time work with the Tag Agency then with the County Assessor's Office from which she retired as the County Assessor in 1993.

Floyce became a widow at the age of 41, when Billy Benson died due to an industrial accident on August 30, 1976.

She found love again and was married to Cecil Buck on September 2, 1978.  She frequently said she was fortunate to have two good husbands. After retirement she devoted herself to being a working ranch hand, and active Grandmother.

Her first love was always God and His word. Floyce was a member of the Madill Church of Christ, where she made and nurtured many wonderful loving friendships.  She was kind, sweet, forgiving & loving to everyone she encountered; truly, providing an example of Christ's love to all who encountered her.
