Florita Phillips of Durant, Oklahoma went home to be with her Lord on November 3, 2024.  She was born on June 8, 1932, in Stockdale, Texas to the late Daniel and Marie Crider.  Florita was raised in Texas and Oklahoma and graduated from Kingston High School in 1949.

She married James Melvin Phillips in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 25, 1951.  They moved to Pomona, California where she worked as a nurse for many years.  After retiring, they moved to Madill and then later to the Baptist Retirement Village.  Melvin preceded her in death on May 24, 2007.

Florita loved her family, her church and her friends, but above all she loved her Heavenly Father.  She was truly a faithful servant and taught Sunday School for many years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madill.  She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
