Obituary

Heaven has a new Angel.  Effie Lee Dewberry went to heaven the morning of June 13,2024. She was born in Marshall County on March 6th, 1932, to O.H. and Ruth Wallace Lemmons. Effie married Jesse Dewberry on March 8,1949. They had three children Charles Dewberry, Joe Dewberry and Ruthie Pickering. Effie spent her life loving her Lord and her family.  As a nurse she took care of people her whole life, which she thoroughly enjoyed.  She loved to garden and loved having a beautiful lawn. She especially loved her granddaughter Kathy whom she raised and was most proud of they had a one-of-a-kind bond with each other. Effie is survived by her daughter; Ruthie, granddaughter; Kathy and husband Jesse and several other grandchildren. A sister; Mildred Easley and husband Eugene and brother; Roger Lemmons and wife Debbie. She was preceded in death by parents; O.H and Ruth Lemmons, husband; Jesse Dewberry, 2 sons; Charles and Joe Dewberry, 1 sister; Nellie Spivey, 2 brothers; Edward Lemmons and Bill Lemmons, grandson; Jay Sexton and many family members who loved her.  As a special thank you we would love to mention what wonderful help neighbor Bea and great friend Heather Hudson and family member Leslie Nelson was in the final year.
