Dorris Kay Sorensen, 84-year-old Overbrook, OK resident, peacefully passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at her home. No public services are planned currently. Services have been entrusted to the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Marietta, OK.

Dorris began this life on January 17, 1941, in Tuscola, IL the daughter of John and Elnora (Smith) Arwine. She married Warren Howard Sorensen on January 13, 1971. Howard survives of the home and cherishes the more than 54 years that he and Dorris spent together.

Dorris loved the serenity of living at the end of her road and spent a great deal of time sitting on the front porch swing just watching birds and spending time reveling in nature. She loved taking family trips, especially when they involved bobbing at Lake Murray. Dorris was a very artistic person who had an eye for catching a unique and artistic impression about anything. This led her to maybe her favorite pastime of crafting glass beads. It most definitely played a great role in turning her passion for art into a business that allowed her to not only paint and do other forms of artistry, but also to teach it to others.

Dorris was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Cassidy Brown; and a great-grandson, Caliber Nielson. Additional survivors include a son, Glenn Reedy and wife Lillian of Pleasant Grove, UT; daughter, Lisa Brown of San Diego, CA; stepdaughters, Marcia Porter of Overbrook, Tamara Lofthouse of Aurora, UT, and Susie Rosales of Marietta, OK; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
