Dorothy Ann Elliott, 92, of Durant, Oklahoma passed away on October 16, 2022, at her home in Durant.  She was born on October 16, 1930, in Celeste, Texas to the late Richard Givens Elam and Esther Evelyn Hazel Elam.  Dorothy was raised in Celeste where she graduated from Celeste High School in 1948. She married Harry Lee Elliott, and they traveled all over the world due to his military service.  In 2004 she moved to Durant where she lived the rest of her life.  Dorothy was of the Methodist faith, and she enjoyed dancing, shopping, and her weekly get-together with close friends at the beauty salon.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son in-law: John Welsh, 1 grandson; John Christopher Welsh, and 1 brother and sister in-law; Jack Ray Elam and Ruby Annelle.
