Obituary

Doris (Grayson) Stafford, 95 of Madill, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 in Madill. She was born on August 28, 1919 in Sunset, Texas to the late William Harvey Grayson and Myrtie Caswell Grayson. Doris was raised in Montague County, Texas and Hastings, Oklahoma. She married her high school sweetheart Carol Duane Stafford on May 15, 1938 in Hastings and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2003. Doris and Carol moved to McAlester, Oklahoma before moving to Madill in 1943 where they ran the family lumber business for over 50 years. She was the charter president of the Madill Daughters Club which began in 1948 and served in the club as a lifelong member. Doris was a member of the Good Sam's and the Madill First Baptist Church for 72 years. She enjoyed going to sporting events and loved spending time with her family and friends and considered them her blessing. She is survived by: Son's: Eddie Stafford and wife Judy, Frisco, Texas Mack Stafford, Oakland, Oklahoma Bink Stafford, Madill, Oklahoma 5 Grandchildren: Lindsey Grooms, Olivia Stafford, Kari Bailey, Brooke Stafford, Courtney Sherwood 7 Great Grandchildren Aunt: Alma Yager, Childress, Texas Cousin: Chlodell Mayhugh Foster, Weleetka, Oklahoma Several Nieces and Nephews
