Dora Frances "Gorrell" Splawn, 94, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at the Family Care Center in Kingston.  She was born on April 23, 1929, in Kingston to the late Silas Gorrell and Beulah Dowdy Gorrell. Dora was raised in Kingston where she graduated high school in 1946.  She lived in California for a short time before moving back to the Madill and Kingston area where she lived for the rest of her life.  Dora married James Morrall Splawn on April 5, 1946, in Sherman, Texas and he preceded her in death on July 8, 2006.  She served as the City Treasure for the City of Kingston and was a member of the Optimists Club.  Dora was a member of the Methodist Church in Kingston, and she enjoyed cooking and playing BINGO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, John and Hughlon and sisters, Donnell Duke, and Millie Armstrong.
