Donna Sue Smith, 88, of Madill, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at her home in Madill. She was born on November 7, 1937, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, to the late Coy Truman Blankenship and Rachel Sylvania Carter Blankenship. Donna was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Tulsa Central High School. While working as a fountain girl at a local pharmacy, she met George Allen Smith, who worked there as well. The two began dating six months later and, after a year of courtship, were married on March 23, 1957, in Tulsa. They shared nearly 66 years of marriage before George preceded her in death on March 22, 2023. Donna was a member of the Madill Daughters Club and was affiliated with the Methodist Church in Madill. She found great joy in sewing, painting, and cooking, but above all else, her family was the center of her life. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved and will be remembered for her kind heart, caring spirit, and devotion to her family.

Shannon Trammell of Kingston, Oklahoma
6 great grandchildren: Trisslyn, Aikman, Kasen, Aubrey, Archer and Atticus
Sister: Deann Worden of Tyler, Texas
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter; Christi Trammell, 3 brothers; Joe, Truman, and Jackie and 1 sister; Fonda Haines.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Centric Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness, and support they provided during this difficult time. A very special thank you is extended to her caregiver, Amanda, whose loving care, kindness, and friendship meant more than words can express.
Casket bearers will be Broc McGuire, Dakota Wescott, Steven Davis, Dillon Davis, Justin Orr, Cody LaBruyere, and Julius Carrillo.
Honorary casket bearers will be Bryant Watts, Dr. Greg Martens, Roger Worden, Jeff Dollar, Calvin Harkins and Darwin Cox.
