Donald Walter Whittaker, 92, of Lindsay, Oklahoma, passed away on December 4, 2024.  He was born on December 22, 1931, near Aztec, New Mexico to the late Slater Donald Whittaker and Ola Mae Latham Whittaker.  Don was raised in Stonewall, Oklahoma, and graduated from Crane High School in Crane, Texas.  He married Nancy Beth Evans on June 1, 1950, in Crane, Texas.  They lived in Crane, Texas, Maysville, Oklahoma, Healdton, Oklahoma, and Madill for several years before moving to Lindsay, where they lived the past 5 years.  Don and Nancy owned and operated Bridgeview Resort on Lake Texoma for 23 years.  He was a member of the Madill Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, and Eastern Star.  Don enjoyed woodworking and loved helping people.   He served on the Southern Oklahoma Nutrition Board for many years.   He also served on the school board in Madill for one term.  In 2007, he was honored to receive the Katie Hayward Volunteer of the Year award.

Brother:   Richard Whittaker and wife, Louise

Grandchildren:   Charles Cameron and wife Shelly; Carlton Cameron and wife, Misty; Carson Cameron and wife, Summer; Shauna Stinnett and husband, Michael; and Jamie Allison.

Don was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother, Winford Whittaker
