Debra Annette Lawrence, 68, of Bridgeview, Oklahoma, passed away on June 15, 2024. She was born on April 28, 1956, in Sherman, Texas, to Duaine Harold Whitaker and Patricia Futch Whitaker. Debra spent her childhood in Denton, Texas, where she graduated from high school.

Debra married Larry Wayne Lawrence on June 2, 1973, in Denton. They shared many years together until his passing on October 12, 2021. As a military spouse, she traveled extensively, living in England, Fort Worth, Texas, and finally settling in Kaufman, Texas in 1998.

Debra had a variety of interests including online shopping, reading, collecting dolls, and learning the Cherokee language. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her grandchildren, Austin, Katherine, and Emma.

Debra is survived by her son, Shawn Lawrence of Bridgeview, Oklahoma, her daughter Leah Simpson and husband Brandon of Salem, Ohio, her mother, Pat Whitaker of Denton, Texas, her brother, Steve Whitaker and wife Tracey of Bridgeview, Oklahoma, her sisters, Stacy Pardun of Gordonville, Texas, and Michelle Klose and husband Will of Coffman, Texas, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
