David Luther Thomas, age 93, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at his home in Kingston. He was born on November 5, 1932, in Madill, Oklahoma, to the late Demps Maston Thomas and Hanna Elizabeth (Bellamy) Thomas. He was raised in Ardmore and later made his home in Kingston. David married Dorothy Lea Bailey on August 11, 1973, and she preceded him in death on May 14, 2014. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his service, he worked as a rural postman for the United States Postal Service, faithfully serving the Kingston community. David was a member of the Cowboy Church. He enjoyed a simple and joyful life—raising chickens, dancing at the Pacesetters, sharing coffee and donuts with friends, fishing, and spending time at the Madill, Senior Citizens Center.
He is survived by

Guston Wells of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Great-grandchildren: Cian Byrne, Isabella Skidmore, Paige Williamson, and Archer Williamson.
He is also survived by a special friend, Cheryle Davis of Kingston, Oklahoma.
David was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy; and one brother, Samuel Thomas.
