David "Bugs" Paul Truitt, 70, of Madill, Oklahoma, passed away on March 12, 2026, at the Family Care Center in Kingston, Oklahoma.  Bugs was born September 12, 1955, in Madill, to the late Paul Andrew Truitt and Billie Ruth Stanlea Truitt. He graduated from Madill High School and dedicated 25 years of service to Madill Public Schools, where he worked in maintenance. Bugs enjoyed riding his motorcycle, photography, and learning about the history of Madill. He also enjoy sitting on the front porch with his dogs (Bentley and Gabbie) enjoying the day.

Bugs was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Allen Westbrook.

Bugs will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his love for history and photography, and the time he spent with family and friends.
