Jeffrey David "Bo" Hays was born February 6, 1930 at Burneyville, OK, the son of Thomas Robert Hays and Bessie Russell Hays. He passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in the Ardmore V.A. Center at the age of 92.  Mr. Hays served with the U.S. Army from April 1952 through December 1952.  He received the Korean Service Medal, two Bronze Service Stars and the United Nations Service Medal.  Bo married Betty Joyce Walker December 23, 1957.  Betty preceded him in death on April 21, 2007. They settled in Madill where Bo was employed by the Petty Geophysical Engineering Company.  They later settled in Love County where Bo worked at Waco Turner Lodge until it was sold in the early 70's and became the Falconhead community. He then worked at the Cookie Factory as a mechanic until he retired in 1995.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hays was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Jean Hartless, Shirley Payne, Juanita Roberson and Tuya McNamara, and two brothers Thomas "Mutt" Hays and Don Hays.

He is survived by his two sons, Danny Hays and daughter-in-law Leslie Hays of Marietta, and Scott Hays of Aubrey, TX; two grandchildren, Nikki Patterson and husband Zach of Kingston, Oklahoma, and great grandson Hays Patterson, as well as Kendall Hays of Dallas, Texas.

Serving as casket bearers will be Glenn Allen Payne, Zach Patterson, Mike Holcomb, Danny Stewart, David Wayne Hays and Tommy Hays.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 23, 2023, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta with Joe Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta.
