Danny Lee McCurry, Jr., 65, of Dickson, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home. Born on July 31, 1958, in Fort Worth, Texas, Danny was the son of the late Danny Lee McCurry and Priscilla Jane Hokett McCurry.

Growing up in Wapanucka, Oklahoma, Danny graduated from Wapanucka High School in 1976. From a young age, he had a passion for the open road and began his lifelong career as a truck driver before even finishing high school. Throughout his career, Danny took on many roles, including owner-operator, truck driver, and mechanic. His dedication saw him hauling a variety of loads, from propane, chickens and cattle to groceries and bananas.

On June 18, 1988, Danny married the love of his life, Tamara Dawn Cole, in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Danny's greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends, cherishing every moment he could with those he loved most.

Danny is survived by his wife, Tamara Dawn McCurry, and his two sons, Duston Lee McCurry and Dillon Cole McCurry, all of Dickson, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Cyndi England.

Danny's life was a journey marked by hard work, love, and commitment. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
