Dall Ray Peoples

Dall Ray Peoples, 87, of McMillan, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Dall was born on September 12, 1938, in Yeager, Oklahoma, to the late Raymond Franklin Peoples and Pearlie Doak Peoples. He was raised in Madill, where he attended school and graduated with the class of 1958. On June 2, 1961, he married the love of his life, Wanda Lou Ross, in Tyler, Oklahoma. Together they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with faith, hard work, and love. They made their home in McMillan, where they raised their family and spent the rest of their days together. If you knew Dall, you knew he wasn't one to sit still. A carpenter by trade, he worked for himself most of his life, building with his hands and earning the respect of everyone who knew him. He believed in doing a job right the first time, and his work spoke for itself. Dall was a man of strong faith and quiet character. He faithfully attended Mannsville Assembly of God Church, where he loved worshiping the Lord alongside his church family. He was also proud of his lifelong commitment to the Masonic Lodge, having been a Mason for 67 years, and was a member of the McAlester Scottish Rite for over 50 years. There wasn't much Dall enjoyed more than being outdoors, after retiring he loved to travel and see the world. Whether he was working cattle, tending a garden, hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying God's creation, he was happiest with a little dirt on his boots and the Oklahoma sunshine on his face. He never met much he couldn't fix, build, or figure out. But more than anything, Dall loved his family. His greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved most. He was a devoted husband, a proud dad, a loving granddad and great-granddad, and the steady rock his family could always count on. His life was a reminder that you don't have to be loud to leave a big mark on this world.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Peoples of McMillan, Oklahoma; his daughter, Pamela Nixon and husband, Tim, of Ada, Oklahoma; his son, Kevin Peoples and wife, Annette, of Madill, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; Keven Dale Peoples Jr. and wife Cara, Kasey Collins and husband Caleb, Katelyn Shepard and husband James, and Kadie Peoples, six great-grandchildren; Chasen Shepard, Tate Shepard, Jaxtyn Turner, Braden Peoples, Payson Collins and Shay Collins, one brother, Ronnie Peoples and wife, Mary Gayle, of Mannsville, Oklahoma; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Raymond Franklin Peoples and Pearlie Doak Peoples; his sisters, Dessie Willingham, Wanda Mays, and Ramona Peoples; and his brother, Donald Ray Peoples.
