Charles Davis, 71 of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at his son's home in Belton, Texas. He was born on August 25, 1941 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to the late George W. Davis and Alice M. Black Davis. He was raised in the Woodville and Kingston area. Charles graduated from the Kingston High School in 1960 and he is a member of the Kingston Alumni Association. He married Betty Charlene Wallace on August 19, 1960 in Madill. She preceded him in death on May 8, 2013. While living in Marshall County Charles worked as a Police Officer and later a Lake Patrol. In 1974 he moved to Killeen, Texas and worked in the Cable Business for 19 years before retiring and moving back to Kingston in 2003. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Madill where he was active in supporting the youth program. Charles was also a member of the Killeen-Fort Hood Bowling Association for 19 years and served as President and Vice President. He was a supporter of the Special Olympics. Charles served on the board of directors for the Association of the United States Army for 10 years and he was an honorary member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club of Fort Hood and the first civilian to receive the Audie Murphy award. He is survived by: Children: Tommy Davis, Belton, Texas Charla Dutton, Temple, Texas 3 Grandchildren 7 Great grandchildren Brothers: George Davis, Kingston, Oklahoma Raymond Davis, Henrietta, Oklahoma Howard Hammon, Madill, Oklahoma John Henry Davis, Milburn, Oklahoma Sisters: Marjorie Robertson, Kingston, Oklahoma Nelda Cobb, Oakland, Oklahoma Ruby Smith, Milburn, Oklahoma Numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
