Cecil Duane "Hack" Hackworth, 92, of Haltom City, Texas, passed away on May 20, 2024. He was born on February 5, 1932, to the late Troy Austin Hackworth and Pansy Marie Roy Hackworth in Dike, Texas.
Hack was raised in Fort Worth, Texas, where he graduated from Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School. He pursued higher education at the University of North Texas, earning a master's degree in Education. He dedicated 25 years of his professional life as a certified Counselor in the Fort Worth area, impacting the lives of many through his guidance and support. He married Salatha Jannette Coe on January 14, 1989, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and she preceded in death on March 16, 2016.
A devout member of the Birdville Church of Christ in Haltom City, Texas, Hack found solace and community in his faith. Beyond his professional and religious pursuits, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Hack had a passion for the outdoors, indulging in activities like hunting, fishing, cutting firewood, and camping.
Hack is survived by his son, Richard Hackworth of Garland, Texas and his grandchildren, Laine Babcock of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Aidan Hackworth of Garland, Texas. He is also survived by two great-grandsons, Draven and Felix. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, and one sister.
Hack will be remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and the lasting impact he made on his family, friends, and community. His legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
